Delhi University Vice Chancellor Flags-Off NBT-India’s Mobile Book Exhibition

National Book Trust, India’s month-long Delhi University Mobile Book Exhibition was flagged-off by Prof Yogesh Singh, Vice Chancellor, Delhi University, and Shri Yuvraj Malik, Director, NBT on 5 September 2022 at North Campus, DU. 

Prof Yogesh Singh, while flagging off the mobile exhibition said that NBT’s mobile exhibition is a commendable step taken towards promoting books and reading among the young generation. 
Shri Yuvraj Malik said that creating a dynamic book reading culture is a major contributor to developing global citizens which have been envisaged in the National Education Policy 2020. As the knowledge partner of the nation, it is NBT’s vision to connect every corner of the country with the mainstream of the country.

The mobile book exhibition commemorates the 100 years of Delhi University. It will visit different colleges on the North and South campus. Other than the focus segment of books on India’s freedom movement – The india@75 series (on the occasion of 75 years of India’s independence); the exhibition will also showcase a collection of works by the famous nationalist philosopher Shri Aurobindo, celebrating his 150th birth anniversary.

The mobile exhibition will be visiting Hindu College, Hansraj College, Kirori Mal College, Ramjas College, Daulat Ram College, Shriram College of Commerce, Miranda House College, Khalsa College, Satyawati College, and Lakshmibai College on the North Campus, whereas on South Campus the exhibition will be visiting Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, Motilal Nehru College, Shri Venkateswara College, Ram Lal Anand College, Shaheed Bhagat Singh College, College of Vocational Studies, Deshbandhu College, Delhi College of Arts & Commerce, Dyal Singh College and Sri Guru Nanak Dev Khalsa College.
