REGIONAL STORIES OF INDIA

Three stories covering three diverse parts and people of India, namely the Gaddi tribe of Himachal, the Korku tribe of Maharashtra, and cashew shellers from a tiny coastal village in Tamil Nadu.

Heartwarming stories with three girl protagonists (Mili, Nila and Bamru) filled with adventure, humour and bravery. Featuring interesting facts to help children learn about the customs and culture of the highlighted regions.

Under the Mahua Tree:

We have the spirited Mili of the Korku tribe from the Melghat region of Maharashtra. The Korkus have a deep reverence for nature and Mili imbibes these learnings in her heroic forest adventure where a leopardess is at large.

A Rumbly Tummy:

We have Bamru from the Gaddi tribe of Himachal whose tummy has a mind of its own. An eternal foodie, she can’t wait to get her hands on tasty meethe chawal and madra at a wedding dhaam in Dharamshala. As she prepares to eat, she gets lost. Will her rumbly tummy come to her rescue?

Manicure in Mundirikuppam:

Lastly, there is the determined Nila who wants to change the destiny of her Amma and her entire coastal village plagued by blackened marks from manual cashew shelling (based in Tamil Nadu).
