Bloomsbury India hosted an insightful discussion around Own Your Body: A Doctor’s Life-saving
tips, by Dr Shiv Sarin at India International Centre, Delhi. The panellists comprised of Dr Shiv Sarin, (Liver specialist and author), Sonam Kapoor, (Actor and entrepreneur), Satish Gupta, (Artist
and sculptor). 

The event was moderated by Rajdeep Sardesai, (Senior journalist and author). During the event, Dr Shiv Sarin discussed the importance of changing our perspective on health
care, promoting self-reflection and informed decision-making. He shared his experiences in not
only treating patients but also in inspiring a positive attitude towards health to counter the adverse effects of genetic inheritances, ultimately paving the way for a healthier progeny. Dr Sarin emphasized that good health is more a result of lifestyle choices than one's genetic makeup.

Sonam Kapoor shared her perspective on the significance of taking ownership of our health for
ourselves and future generations. She highlighted that leading a healthy life is a core value in her family. She thanked Dr. Shiv Sarin for promoting this mindset in his book and setting the right precedent for prioritizing well-being Focusing on the side effects of a sedentary lifestyle that often affects artists, Satish Gupta praised the book, stating, "Prolonged periods of inactivity are detrimental to both physical and mental health. As an artist, sitting for long periods is part of my work; however, I ensure to incorporate movement and exercise into my daily routine." 

Rajiv Beri, MD, Bloomsbury India, commended the book, saying, "It's not just a book; it's a paradigm shift towards a healthier and more fulfilling life."
