An evening of February 22, 2025, was the time when the India International Centre in New Delhi hosted an intellectually enriching and thought-provoking book launch as Sandeep Khanna launched his new book, Tempest – A Story of Last on River: 50 Years of India Silent. The event was hosted by Niyogi Books at the Seminar Halls I, II & III of the Kamaladevi Complex and had a diverse group of literature lovers, policymakers, and intellectuals in attendance.

The evening began with a cozy get-together over tea and coffee, paving the way for an interesting discussion. Sanjeev Chopra, Secretary, Department of Food & Public Distribution, Government of India, officially inaugurated the event, underlining the importance of the book's themes and its pertinence in the current socio-political scenario.

The guest panel of well-known speakers featured Vikram Mehta, Chairman, Centre for Social & Economic Progress, Ranjana Chopra, Additional Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Culture, and Aabha Bakaya, Founder & CEO of Ladies Who Lead and a distinguished television journalist.
