Suresh U. Kumar is an entrepreneur, professor, start-up mentor, author and non-profit leader. Born in Kochi, India, he first developed his skills as a student political leader and later pursued a global career in the United States. Suresh co-started his first enterprise in 1999, sparking his entrepreneurial passion in leadership. He currently sits on the board of several high-growth startups and as Professor and Director of Innovation and Entrepreneurship at New Jersey Institute of Technology. He continues his activism as Co-Founder of Indian American Democrats and president of The Indus Entrepreneur (TiE)—New Jersey Chapter.

A voracious reader of all types of books, Suresh lives in New Jersey with his family while honing his storytelling skills at numerous workshops and literary festivals around the world. Girl in Scarlet Hijab, is his first novel.
