"Bharat must convey to the world that diversity represents the embodiment of intrinsic unity. We should portray Bharat as a nation characterized not by unity in diversity, but by the diversity of unity. Our rich diversity should not be a source of conflict amongst us. We should strive to make our country an example of unity to the world. This is the fundamental purpose of Bharat's existence," stated Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, the RSS Sarsanghchalak, during the launch of the book "Prithvi Sookta: An Ode to Mother Earth" at the Dr. Ambedkar International Centre in New Delhi. The book is authored by RSS senior pracharak Ranga Hari.

In his explanation of what unites people in various countries, RSS Sarsanghchalak emphasized that the United Kingdom finds its unity in language, the United States in economic interests, and Arab nations through religion. However, for us, our unity is rooted in our humanity and a compassionate approach to life.

The RSS Sarsanghchalak also expressed that other nations have misconstrued Bharat's interpretation of nationalism.

"Nationalism holds a different meaning for us. However, on the global stage, the term 'nationalism' evokes different connotations, often linked to fear and associations with figures like Hitler. In Bharat, 'nationalism' and 'universalism' are not in opposition to each other," he remarked.

"We regard our motherland as an integral aspect of our national unity, and this is affirmed in the knowledge of elements. Our belief is that the entire world is one family. It's not merely a theory; it's a principle to comprehend, internalize, and subsequently reflect in our actions," stated Dr. Mohan Bhagwat.

Dr. Bhagwat emphasized, "The sages established Bharat with the well-being of the world in mind. They constructed a society where knowledge was imparted to every individual. They were not limited to being ascetics; they led nomadic lives with their families. Many of these nomadic groups, once declared as 'criminal tribes' by the British, continue to exist. They frequently contribute to society by preserving their culture and sharing their expertise, including traditional Ayurvedic knowledge.".

"We possess abundant diversity within us, and it's crucial that we do not engage in conflicts amongst ourselves. Let us strive to make our nation capable of imparting to the world the message that we are all one. This, indeed, is the fundamental purpose of Bharat's existence," stated Dr. Mohan Bhagwat, the Sarsanghchalak of the RSS.

"Our people disseminated knowledge across the globe, spanning from Mexico to Siberia," he further remarked.

Recalling a conversation with the late former President of India, Dr. Pranab Mukherjee, during a meeting amidst the ghar wapasi (homecoming) controversy in Parliament a few years ago, Dr. Bhagwat shared, "Dr. Mukherjee mentioned that Bharat's Constitution is secular. He took a moment's pause and then added that our secularism isn't solely due to the Constitution but is also a reflection of the secular nature of the prominent leaders who framed it." Dr. Bhagwat went on to remember, "He paused again for a minute and then stated, 'We have been secular for over 5,000 years because of our culture.'" This insight was provided by Dr. Pranab Mukherjee.

"The message of life is that it should be meaningful, beyond mere success. This message is embedded in the literature of every Bharatiya. The essence of India's purpose is to educate all humanity through our way of life, and we must be ready for this," emphasized the RSS Sarsanghchalak.

Reflecting on his association with Ranga Hari ji, Dr. Bhagwat expressed, "He has consistently been a diligent and industrious intellectual. We have always found our interactions with him to be enlightening. He is a scholarly personality and a reservoir of knowledge."

During this event, the Governor of Kerala, Arif Mohammed Khan, highlighted that the paramount ideal of India is unity. He added, "Once we comprehend the concept of oneness, the distinction between God and the soul vanishes."

Speaking about Ranga Hari, the Kerala Governor remarked, "He is not only a profound scholar and an eloquent speaker but a genuine Karmayogi with the ability to translate his thoughts into action. I offer my prayers for his recovery and hope that he continues to guide us through his words, writings, and actions."

The core theme of the book was introduced by the Vice Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University in New Delhi. Additionally, the Vice Chancellors of Jawaharlal Nehru University and Delhi University, Prof. Santishree D. Pandit and Prof. Yogesh Singh, graced the book release event with their presence. This event was organized by Prajna Pravah, Delhi Unit, in collaboration with Kitabwale Publications.
