This book has two short stories. The first short story is titled The Robbers Hill, Chambal, and the second story is titled The Fugitive, which is a sequel of the first . The first story is a fictional story inspired by some true incidents The second story is entirely a work of fiction. The names, characters, organizations, and incidents portrayed in these stories are the work of the author’s imagination.

The story of The Robbers Hill Chambal is about survival and love in one of the most dreaded terrains of India, along the River Chambal.

The fugitive also tells a story about power of love, which changes the life of a fugitive dacoit who escapes from Chambal to Mumbai (then Bombay).
