Sourav (Rob) G Roy is a poet and storyteller whose writing reflects a journey of wandering, reflection, and self-discovery. Born in Kolkata, India, he spent years working in the IT and financial industries before choosing early retirement to pursue his creative calling.

His literary journey began with his debut poetry collection, Life & Other Illusions, which introduced readers to his introspective approach to poetry. Through evocative imagery and emotional depth, his work explores the inner landscapes of human experience, inviting readers to reflect on feelings, perceptions, and the complexities of existence.

His latest collection, Abstract Canvases – Verses Unbound, continues this exploration through verses inspired by the restless tides of distant seas, the haunting silence of mountains, and the fragile truths of human life. His poetry draws on the contrasts between movement and stillness, the vastness of nature, and the intimate realities of being human.

A romantic at heart, Sourav finds inspiration in travel, food, and solitude. These interests shape his creative perspective, offering moments of observation and reflection that find expression in his writing. His work brings together the external world and the inner experiences it evokes, creating poetic landscapes shaped by imagination, emotion, and contemplation.

Currently residing in Bangalore, Sourav continues to follow his creative interests while dreaming of undiscovered horizons and future adventures that may awaken new lines of poetry. Through his writing, he explores the connections between travel, introspection, and human existence, allowing each experience to become a potential source of creative expression.
