The Jaipur BookMark (JBM), a vital aspect of the Jaipur Literature Festival, is preparing for its 11th edition from February 1 to 5, 2024.

Every year, JBM brings together publishers, literary agents, editors, writers, translators, and booksellers from the South Asian publishing business under one roof.

What will the future of Indian publishing look like? The Jaipur Literature Festival will endeavour to find answers.

Keep an eye out for this!

This year, in order to demonstrate its commitment to translation and the rich diversity of Indian publishing, JBM will produce the Rights Catalogue, which includes a list of books in Indian languages and English published by various publishers.

JBM will also conduct discussions about AI and publishing, podcasting, and publishing and OTT, among other topics. Meru Gokhale, Marcus du Sautoy, Charles Collier, and Safir Anand will have a conversation with Amit Varma. In another session, Varma will appear alongside Hemali Sodhi and William Dalrymple.

Atiya Zaidi and Neeraj Jain will speak with Ananth Padmanabhan on how educational publishing remains the commercial backbone of India's book business. Sessions will also be held with publishers from throughout the world, including Luise Braunschweig, Jan Karsten and Alvaro Enterria, and Gabriella Page-Fortand, to mention a few.

Lena Luczak, Anna Katharina Fröhlich, Franziska Otto, Naveen Kishore, Shailesh Bharatwasi, Trisha de Niyogi, Annette Michael, Kannan Sundaram, Alvaro Enterria, Parminder Singh Shonkey, Milee Aishwarya, and Ravi Deecee will also discuss international publishing.
