Discover a captivating trip into the unknown as Keanu Reeves and China Miéville collaborate on their new novel, "The Book of Elsewhere."

Renowned Canadian actor Keanu Reeves has revealed a forthcoming collaboration with celebrated "weird fiction" author China Miéville. The surprise collaboration was revealed during a prerecorded episode on "Good Morning America," when Reeves announced the upcoming release of their joint novel, "The Book of Elsewhere," which is set to hit bookstores this summer.
The novel promises to immerse readers into the intricate universe revealed in the BRZRKR comic series, which Reeves co-created with writer Matt Kindt and artist Ron Garney.

In this new literary project, Reeves and Miéville will dig into the cryptic narrative, following the adventure of an immortal warrior wandering the corridors of time in search of the mysteries behind the curse of perpetual life.

During his appearance on "GMA," Reeves highlighted his excitement for the collaboration with Miéville, emphasising his great affection for the BRZRKR world and his wish to explore it more fully through the medium of a novel. He stated, "I love the world of BRZRKR so much that I wanted to explore it further, and I thought one of the best ways to do so was through a novel." "If you read it, I hope you enjoy it."

In a statement to Deadline, the actor, known for iconic roles in "The Matrix" and "John Wick," characterised his collaboration with Miéville as "extraordinary." He named the English novelist, known for his contributions to the "new weird" literary movement, as a personal favourite. Miéville's literary prowess has been demonstrated in prior works, including the New York Times bestsellers "The City & the City" and "Embassytown."

While "The Book of Elsewhere" is Keanu Reeves' debut novel, it isn't his first effort into publication. Previously, he worked with his current partner, Alexandra Grant, on two art books that were published in 2011 and 2014. The couple's artistic partnership began in 2009, and they openly confirmed their love in 2019.

Del Rey, an imprint of Random House, will publish "The Book of Elsewhere" on July 23. With Reeves and Miéville at the helm, readers can expect a riveting investigation of the supernatural and eternal, as well as a work that pushes the bounds of traditional storytelling.
