Spanish language barriers are to be broken by LéaLA's Literary Festival.

The LéaLA Spanish-Language Book Fair and Literary Festival is taking place this week and will feature more than 80 different authors.

This year's festival, which runs from August 25 to 28 at LA Plaza de Cultura y Artes, aims to promote Spanish-language literature and dismantle language barriers.

In a press release, LéaLA General Director Marisol Schulz said, "LeáLA celebrates Spanish as a way of vindicating our culture, a bond that unites us and that we share with more than 500 million people in the world." Readers of all ages have explored or reaffirmed their interest in what is said, thought, and created in Spanish since LéaLA's first editions, which were intended to be book fairs.

We learned that being a part of all the cultures that came before us is a source of great pride.

The festival, which is age-inclusive, will be available every day from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. It will include events like talks, panels, kid-friendly workshops, book signings, and more.

Children will also be able to study Mayan culture through practical craft activities.

Lorenzo Córdova, president counsellor of Mexico's National Electoral Institute, as well as eminent authors Don Miguel Ruiz, Don Jose Ruiz, and "the Latino Larry King" Ismael Cala are among the distinguished guests.
