More than 1.75 lakh book enthusiasts from all strata of life, ranging from school students to other people, attended the just-concluded 24th Neyveli Book Fair organized by NLC India Limited (NLCIL). The festival that was inaugurated with great pomp on July 4, ended at the Book Fair Grounds on Monday.
Speaking at the valedictory ceremony, Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma complimented the NLCIL for bringing rural schoolchildren to the book fair on free trips. With vibrant and varied language and culture, India was a book paradise, he added, saying the vision of Viksit Bharat by the Prime Minister could materialize only through the dissemination of literature and culture.
Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, NLCIL Chairman and Managing Director stated that the company had plans to expand its current renewable energy capacity many times over by 2030. Although the Neyveli Book Fair witnessed the second largest number of visitors in the State, it was the country's best, he added.
An e-souvenir was also launched on the occasion. Suresh Chandra Suman, Director (Mines) was also present.
