Madurai Book Fair will be Held from October 12 to 22

Madurai: The Madurai corporation convention centre at Tamukkam field in Tallakulam will host the annual Madurai book fair from October 12 to 22. District collector M S Sangeetha said in a statement that the fair will have roughly 200 stalls and will be open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on all ten days.

Elocution competitions for high school and college students will be held. After 6 p.m., many prominent speakers/writers will address the crowd, and programming such as 'Pattimandram' (debates) will be held, as was done previous year.

The district administration is collaborating with the Booksellers and Publishers Association of South India (BAPASI) to organise the exhibition.

Shillong's book fair returns after a seven-year absence.

The Shillong Book Fair 2023, organised by the National Book Trust (India), has reopened in Shillong after a seven-year break. The event, sponsored in partnership with the state agencies of arts and culture and education, attempts to reignite the state's love of physical books. The fair will run until October 3 and drew a big number of visitors on its first day.
