"Lock The Box" A one of a kind Book Fair

A book fair called Lock The Box is being held in Hyderabad by Bookchor, a platform that promotes the purchase of second-hand books. This four-day event has a vast collection of books, making it the perfect place for book lovers to satisfy their reading cravings while also saving money. “Bookchor’s book fair is an event that avid readers in Hyderabad should not miss.

It is an opportunity to add to their personal collection by using the unique Lock The Box feature offered by Bookchor,” explained Vidyut Sharma, one of the co-founders of Bookchor. The book fair will take place at Satva Necklace Mall, located on TankBund Road, Kavaguda, Secunderabad from July 14 to 23 between 10 am and 11 pm. Last year's book festival in Hyderabad was a huge success, with over 10,000 visitors and more than 400,000 books sold.

At this unique book fair, customers are not charged based on the weight or number of books they purchase. Instead, they can buy a box and fill it with as many books as will fit under the flap. The boxes are named after Greek heroes, with the lightweight Odysseus Box priced at Rs 999 and able to hold 8-9 books, the Perseus Box priced at Rs 1,499 and able to hold 15-17 volumes, and the largest Hercules Box priced at Rs 2,499 and able to contain 28-30 books. Sahithi Yalagandala, an avid reader and Lock The Box veteran, fondly remembers this system.

The book fair is open to all readers and offers a vast selection of books, including fiction, poetry, biographies, rarities, periodicals, children’s art books, technical books, biographies, and encyclopedias. Visitors can also find uncommon treasures and lesser-known writers. Notable titles include Think and Grow Rich, The Hunger Games trilogy, several books by Dan Brown, Pride and Prejudice, and more.
