Over 400 speakers, including authors, actors, thinkers, and activists, will participate in discussions on science and technology, literature, art, gender, cinema, culture, and environment during the four-day festival, which begins on January 11 on the sandy shores of Kozhikode.
"The list continues with historian William Dalrymple, Tamil Nadu Minister for IT and Digital Services Palanivel Thiagarajan, Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi, Malaysian author Saras Manickam, Grammy award winner TH Vinayakram, actor Prakash Raj, American physician-author Abraham Verghese, award-winning author Perumal Murugan and comedian Kanan Gill," the organisers of the event said in a statement.

Authors Anita Nair, Devika Rege, Suraj Yengde, Shobha Tharoor Srinivasan, Durjoy Datta, Preeti Shenoy, Charu Nivedita, Monika Halan, and Krish Ashok are also on the speaker list.

While countries such as the United Kingdom, Wales, Spain, Japan, the United States, Malaysia, Spain, and France will take part in the "truly global celebration of literature and culture," Turkey will commemorate its 100th year as a republic during the KLF, according to the organisers.

The lineup also includes novelist Gurcharan Das, activist-dancer Mallika Sarabhai, economist Parakala Prabhakar, philosopher-author Sundar Sarukkai, art historian Alka Pande, ad film director Prahlad Kakkar, and journalists Bachi Karkaria, Barkha Dutt, and P Sainath.

Over 25 "original Sufi dancers" from the Turkish city of Konya, where poet Rumi is buried, will also perform at the festival.

The event will also feature concerts by Carnatic luminaries such as Krishna and Vinayakram, as well as a surbahar and sitar concert by Pandit Budhaditya Mukherjee.
