Kitab Utsav, a Five-Day Celebration of Hindi Literature, Begins Friday | Frontlist

The Rajkamal Kitab Utsav, which begins on Friday at the International Buddha Research Institute, will feature discussions on famous Hindi authors and socio-cultural themes.

Aside from literary events, there will be a book fair including books published by the event's organiser. The festival is free and will be open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. 

The first day will feature a discussion about the life of revolutionary freedom fighter Chandra Shekhar Azad. On day two, classes will include modern Awadhi poetry, novelist Yashpal, and journalism in the post-truth era.

Day three will include a discussion about the life of Bihar's first female IPS officer, Manjari Jaruhar, as well as the issues faced by district administration and authors Amritlal Nagar and Rahul Sankrityayan. The fourth day will feature a discussion with poet Virendra Sarang, a session on 'Upanyas, Varchasva aur Satta', novelist Bhagwati Charan Verma, and a 'kavya trail'. On day 5, a discussion on 'Hamara Shahar, Humara Gaurav' and 'Lucknow ki Mohalladari' will take place.
