An 11-year-old girl named Adeeba Riyaz from Anantnag in South Kashmir has become the youngest author from the Union Territory to publish her book, Zeal of Pen. She wrote the book in 11 days. Adeeba is a student of class seven.

Her book has 96 pages and is available online. The paperback edition is available in the market.

Adeeba thought of becoming a writer when she was awarded in a writing competition organized by the District Administration of Anantnag in 2019.

“When curfew was imposed after the abrogation of Article 370 in Kashmir and the lockdown was extended due to coronavirus, I decided to pen a book. It is published now and I am happy. I am also utilizing this period nicely, “ Adeeba was quoted as saying to IndiaToday.in.

"My book has something of everything in it. I have written a few poems and something about life in my book,” she further said.

After receiving appreciation for her first book at a young age, Adeeba now wants to give literature-filled joy to the world by writing about scenes everyone can relate to.
