Somanath was responding to an allegation that his memoirs included disparaging statements against his predecessor, Sivan.

ISRO Chairman S Somanath declared on Saturday that he will not publish his impending autobiography due to a controversy over purported disparaging statements about his predecessor, K Sivan, in the book.

In view of the issue, Somanath acknowledged his intention to withdraw the book titled 'Nilavu Kudicha Simhangal' (which loosely translates to "Lions that drank the moonlight").
Earlier in the day, he told PTI that every individual experiences different challenges on their path to high-ranking positions inside an organization.

Somanath was responding to an allegation that his memoirs included disparaging statements against his predecessor, Sivan.

He goes on to say, "Individuals in such significant roles often encounter numerous challenges, including those related to securing positions within an organization." He went on to say that these difficulties are a part of everyone's path.

"I attempted to highlight the fact that many people may be eligible for important positions, and I didn't single out any specific individual in this context," he said.

Somanath recognised in his book that the news of the failure of the Chandrayaan-2 mission was murky.

The ISRO Chairman emphasized that his book was written to inspire those who want to overcome challenges and barriers in their lives, not to criticize anyone.
