Over the years, the festival has focused on more than only literature. Along with talks about books and authors, prior editions addressed a wide range of themes.

This year's festival will continue the tradition, with topics including philosophy, artificial intelligence, theatre, current literature, start-ups, and entrepreneurship.

The children's programme is a new addition. This year's target country will be Turkey. Cultural performances, such as music and dance, will also take place, as will film screenings. But, for once, the emphasis will be on the written word, and the writers will be feted by what should be large crowds.
