The new label Michael Sampson Books, which will debut in the fall of 2023, is proudly announced by Brown Books Publishing Group (BBPG). The imprint, named after New York Times bestselling novelist and former Fulbright Scholar Michael Sampson, will publish and support outstanding writers who emphasize literacy for young readers.

The director of editorial acquisitions for the imprint will be Thomas Reale, President & COO of BBPG. Sampson will give editing recommendations, offer remarks for purchased manuscripts, and aid with book promotion.

Reale says that throughout the last year of collaboration with Michael, "his passion and extensive knowledge in early literacy motivated us to create at our finest level." We eventually started discussing writers we both enjoy and appreciate as well as storytelling in general. From then, the discussion of leaving an impression developed organically.

More than 40 children's books by best-selling author Michael Sampson have been published. In the 1970s, while pursuing his Ph.D. in Reading at the University of Arizona, he made a lifetime acquaintance and professional connection with his mentor and fellow student Bill Martin Jr. Sampson used his memories of their lengthy, collaborative work as a major source of inspiration when establishing the imprint.

The books will adhere to Bill's ground-breaking reading strategy, which is based on the notion that children who enjoy a book will read it repeatedly until they know it by heart. Youngsters will appreciate reading more the more books they enjoy.

A series of picture and middle-grade books by Michael Sampson Books will build on the exemplary work Sampson has done with children's reading that parents and educators have come to know and enjoy. The objective is to release 10 novels in a year, starting with Alithia Ramirez. award-winning novelist and illustrator Violet Lemay was an Artist.

Concerning the launch's historical background, BBPG Founder and CEO Milli Brown stated, "Given our trajectory over the past three decades, we feel this relationship represents the next phase of our development and growth as a publisher." Submissions may be made through literary agencies or by writers themselves and brought to the publisher's attention in line with corporate policy.
