The Lohit district administration, in collaboration with the Bamboosa Library and the Forum of Activists of Lohit Youth Libraries (FALYL), organized a three-day "NBT book exhibition, which went around Tezu town and educational institutions" from August 15-17 as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, according to a FALYL release on Thursday.

The exhibition was inaugurated by local MLA Karikho Kri, who was joined by DC Marge Sora and others.

Kri praised the National Book Trust (NBT) officials and the FALYL for ‘setting up a magnificent array of books for all age groups after viewing the broad variety of books shown by the NBT.

The display included books on popular science, history, Indian culture, and Vedic mathematics, among other topics. Among the publications on display at the Bamboosa Library was "a children's biography on Mahatma Gandhi in five Arunachali languages including Bodo."

The NBT, based in Kolkata (WB), has promised to bring a mobile book exhibition bus to other locations in eastern Arunachal the next winter, according to the forum.
