32nd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair to Focus on Sustainability

From May 22 to May 28 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec), the 32nd Abu Dhabi International Book Fair will bring together a roster of renowned writers, thought leaders, and publishers worldwide.

While fostering relationships between the Arab and global publishing sectors, the event will highlight the distinctive literary and cultural history of the Middle East.

This year's book fair, put on by the Abu Dhabi Arabic Language Centre (ALC), a division of the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism, will emphasize sustainability in keeping with the UAE's proclamation of 2023 as the "Year of Sustainability."

Visitors may anticipate a wide range of activities, events, and seminars that will highlight the publishing industry's top international sustainability practices.

The fair, which is the largest literary event in the Arab world, provides an essential forum for international discussion through speeches by eminent Arab and foreign speakers, including well-known writers, artists, professors, and producers of digital content. With five main programming types—cultural, creative arts, children and youth, specialized professional, and partner programs—the fair will serve a varied audience, including professionals, consumers, and families.

Participants can participate in various cultural events during the week, including panel discussions, debates, seminars, and poetry readings with well-known figures from the fields of thinking, literature, and media. Additionally, visitors will get the chance to meet and get books autographed by their favorite writers.
