26th South Dinajpur book fair commences

BALURGHAT: The 26th South Dinajpur District Book Fair was introduced on Monday evening in the Balurghat High School ground. The Book Fair will be proceeded till January 2. An all out number of 70 slows down including presumed book retailers from Kolkata have come up to set up their slows down. The carnival stays open at 12.30 pm to 7.30 pm with a few social projects to be led in the evening each day. The Fair was initiated by the Minister of Mass Education Extension and Library Department Siddikulla Chowdhury in presence of Agricultural Marketing Minister Biplab Mitra, two chosen MLAs from Kushmandi and Kumarganj Rekha Roy and Toraf Hussein Mondal, District Magistrate Ayesha Rani A, Superintendent of Police Rahul De, District Information and Cultural Officer Rajesh Kumar Mondal alongside a gathering of government authorities and dignitaries.

Introducing the Fair, Chowdhury said: "Every one of the Book Fairs in each of the 24 areas of the state are being coordinated by the immediate motivation and participation of our Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Our administration is presently coordinating the Book Fair in state level, area level and square level covering all areas of the state. We are not taking any section expense to sharpen the book darlings to understand books." According to him, the understudies will be profited from the Fair coordinated by the state government
