Where Indian Stories Stop Needing Borders to Be Heard.

We didn't just hold a lit fest. We built a stage with no walls. Six years, 300+ authors, 30+ countries, and one platform that refuses to choose between Delhi and Dubai, between English and Malayalam, between 8 years old and 80.

PVLF 2027: Voices Without Borders

PVLF is India's most unapologetic literature festival. In its sixth year, it runs as one festival across four streams - meeting in person in Delhi, reaching readers across thirty countries online, and refusing to draw lines between adult and junior, English and translation, Indian and diaspora.

The Delhi Floor - where readers, authors, illustrators and translators meet in person. No panels. No podiums. Open mics, Jr storytelling competitions, creative writing workshops, and author meet-and-greets that put writers in the same room as the people who read them.

PVLF Worldwide - the online stream where diaspora authors join from six time zones, translators take centre stage, and the conversations Indian publishing isn't having anywhere else happen here.

PVLF Junior - the 5 to 17 stream that's part of the festival, not separate from it. Where the next generation of Indian writers gets the same stage, the same audience, and the same respect as the senior names.

PVLF Excellence Awards - the only literary awards in India that are editorial-shortlisted, publicly voted, and physically awarded. 185,000+ readers in 30+ countries voted at the last edition. Year 6 returns with two new categories.

Because PVLF was never just a lit fest.
It's a position. And in 2027, that position has no borders.

FAQs

PVLF 2027 is the sixth edition of the Pragatie Vichaar Literature Festival, curated by Frontlist Media. It is India's only literature festival that runs as a hybrid event - a participation-first physical edition in Delhi, a global online stream (PVLF Worldwide), a dedicated young authors' stream (PVLF Junior, ages 5-17), and the editorial-shortlisted, publicly-voted, physically-awarded PVLF Excellence Awards.

The Delhi Floor takes place in early 2027 at a Delhi venue to be announced. PVLF Worldwide runs online across the same dates, with sessions scheduled for time zones across North America, the UK, Europe, the Gulf, Southeast Asia, and Australia. Specific dates will be announced shortly - follow Frontlist and PVLF's social channels for updates.

This year's theme is Voices Without Borders - Bharat Likhe, Duniya Padhe. PVLF 2027 is built on the idea that Indian literature in 2027 doesn't live in one city, one language, or one age group. The festival removes the borders - geographic, linguistic, generational, and format - that other lit fests still take for granted.

PVLF is open to authors, publishers, translators, readers, students, teachers, illustrators, editors, and the broader literary community - across India and the global Indian diaspora. PVLF Junior is specifically for writers aged 5 to 17.

Book entries open in August 2026 via the official entry form on this page. Books published between January 2024 and September 2026 are eligible. Entries are first shortlisted by the Frontlist editorial team. Shortlists then open to public voting.

Yes. The Delhi Floor's key moments and the entire PVLF Worldwide programme are streamed live on Frontlist's website and social channels.

PVLF has three sets of awards in 2027:

PVLF Author Excellence Awards (reader-voted, 11+ categories including Translator of the Year and Crossover Author of the Year, new this year)

PVLF People's Choice Publisher Awards (including India's Favourite Publisher, Most Debut-Friendly Publisher, Favourite Children's Publisher)

PVLF Junior Awards (for writers aged 5 to 17)

PVLF Junior is the festival's dedicated stream for writers aged 5 to 17. It runs alongside the main programming at the Delhi Floor and includes the Junior Storytelling Competition, creative writing workshops, junior open mics, and a dedicated Junior Awards category. Junior authors share the same venue, branding, and on selected occasions, the same stage as senior authors.

PVLF Worldwide is the festival's online stream - where global Indian authors, diaspora voices, and translators join live across six time zones. Signature programmes include Translation Hour, Diaspora Desk, and Cross-Border Pairings. All Worldwide sessions stream on Frontlist.

PVLF is the only Indian literary award that combines three stages: editorial shortlisting (one month), public voting (one month, open to readers across 35+ countries), and a physical awards ceremony at the Delhi Floor where winners are handed their trophies in person. No other Indian literary award runs on this three-stage model.

We welcome partnerships across sponsorship, exhibition, awards, and content collaborations. Write to navita@frontlist.in.
