The People's Literature Festival | PVLF 2024
PVLF 2024 was an historic landmark for several reasons.
Firstly, it was the first time this festival by PragatiE Vichaar (Arts) ventured into the epicentre of reading in India, and out of hotel hallways, and into the New Delhi World Book Fair at Pragati Maidan.
Secondly, it was a full 7 days of PVLF which was embedded as part of the largest literary fair in the country - which allowed us to put together a unified event encompassing book launches, live authors, and an amazing level of engagement with the audience in real-time, and allowing the public to celebrate their awards on-ground.
With visitor footfall in the lakhs and reader engagement like never before, this was the year PVLF became a public's festival.

Because of both the environment and level of engagement at the fair, we could do:
Actual live storytelling sessions with children and youth. True interactive conversations with readers with the authors.
Real-life feedback, signing tables, and literary familiarity at every turn
This is literature made personal.
