According to the organizers, sales at the Buddha Basava Babasaheb Book Fair exceeded a huge figure of ₹30 lakhs in just five days, which indicates the enormous popularity of this event.

Speaking about the event, Anil Hosamani, coordinator of May Sahitya Balaga, the organizing body of the festival, stated that the tremendous success achieved through this fair will prompt the team to organize this fair every year in the same city. Moreover, the success shows that people still love to read even in the times of digital entertainment options.

There were 35 stalls set up by the book publishers, booksellers and literary organizations during the event. Various books from genres like fiction, nonfiction, history, children literature, academia, biography, motivational literature and books in the regional language were available to visitors. Special attention was paid to Kannada books due to the interests of the visitors.

The discussion about the current state of regional book publishing, possibilities for writers, significance of the books to save the language and the role of the printed press in the world of modern technologies became one of the major highlights of the festival.

The exhibition also contributed to creation of a lively cultural atmosphere at the venue, where people could meet the book publishers, find something interesting among their books and even meet some authors who had published recently. Many parents were seen bringing their children to develop reading interests since early childhood, while the students were visiting the fair to buy some academic literature.

Chennu Kattimani, the organizing committee member, expressed his gratitude to various organizations which had supported the fair. The author especially thanked Dalit and progressive organizations for making this event successful.

These results of the book fair indicate clearly one thing no matter how fast our society is developing, the enthusiasm about books is growing too.
