VNIT Hosts Workshop on International Book Publishing

Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology (VNIT) organized a one-day workshop on 'Awareness Regarding Book Publication & Authoring for International Publishers' at its Multi-Activity Centre. Organized jointly by the Library and Information Resource Centre and the Office of the Dean, International and Alumni Affairs, the event was attended by 53 people from VNIT and other organizations.

Prof Mohan Lal Kolhe, University of Agder, Norway, was the chief guest. Industry experts from leading international publishers presented their views, such as Rajesh Dey (Taylor & Francis), Hemant K Jha (McGraw Hill), Dr Deepak Suryavanshi, and Kedar Murdeshwar (Springer Nature). Various topics like publishing ethics, writing proposals, and open access were discussed.

The event ended with certificate distribution and feedback. The VNIT Library team, conducted by Poonam Harode and Jameel Ansari, made it run smoothly.
