Ophthalmologist and author Shraddha weaves vivid worlds across genres, blending humour, strong women, and unforgettable storytelling.on Dec 08, 2025
Words have been the centre of Shraddha’s existence for as long as she can remember. Fed up with her constant demand for books, her parents asked her to write her own. And, so it began! She began with silly limericks, then moved on to angst-ridden poems, short stories and finally full-length novels. She’s an Ophthalmologist & Glaucoma specialist and juggles her professional demands with her reading addiction and the larger-than-life characters that live in her mind, demanding to be manifested.
Shraddha has written A Great Fall (e-book, Juggernaut) [paperback version titled Anamika Khanna Falls in Love (Locksley Hall)], The Case of the Counterfeit Currency (Mango Books) and Tanaji and the Treasure Trail (Vishwakarma Publications). Her books have received multiple five- star reviews on Goodreads, with her latest – Tanaji and the Treasure Trail remaining on the top10 Amazon lists for many months. Bloggers and reviewers have been impressed with her ability to transport the reader to her world, especially when writing for children.
Shraddha professes to be 80% caffeine and finds herself attracted to stories about women – strong ones, funny ones & kick-ass survivors. Her self-deprecating humor is partly due to her first author crush, Alistair Maclean and partly due to her introvert nature. (‘Peopling is hard’ is her favourite line!)
