<![CDATA[ Registration for the 41st Sharjah International Book Fair Award is now open ]]> The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has announced that registration for the 41st Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) Awards would be open until September 1, 2022.

The Sharjah Translation Award 'Turjuman,' the Best Emirati Book, the Best Arabic Novel, the Best International Book, and the Publisher Recognition Award will all be up for grabs.

The AED1.4 million Sharjah Translation Award 'Turjuman' recognises translators and publishers for translated works based on or inspired by Arab and Muslim civilisations.

The SIBF's AED 300,000 Emirati Book Award recognises local literary talent in four categories: Best Emirati Novel (AED100,000), Best Emirati Academic Book (AED100,000), Best Emirati Photography Book about the UAE (AED50,000), and Best Emirati Creative Literature (AED50,000) (AED50,000).

SBA has set aside AED 150,000 for the Best Arabic Novel Award, as well as AED50,000 for the Best International Book Award in Fiction and Non-fiction.
