            <![CDATA[ <p>The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has announced that registration for the 41st Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) Awards would be open until September 1, 2022.</p><p>The Sharjah Translation Award 'Turjuman,' the Best Emirati Book, the Best Arabic Novel, the Best International Book, and the Publisher Recognition Award will all be up for grabs.</p><p>The AED1.4 million Sharjah Translation Award 'Turjuman' recognises translators and publishers for translated works based on or inspired by Arab and Muslim civilisations.</p><p>The SIBF's AED 300,000 Emirati Book Award recognises local literary talent in four categories: Best Emirati Novel (AED100,000), Best Emirati Academic Book (AED100,000), Best Emirati Photography Book about the UAE (AED50,000), and Best Emirati Creative Literature (AED50,000) (AED50,000).</p><p>SBA has set aside AED 150,000 for the Best Arabic Novel Award, as well as AED50,000 for the Best International Book Award in Fiction and Non-fiction.</p> ]]>
