The selected titles for each category are as follows:</p><p><strong>Fiction</strong><br>Futurespective (Sophie Benkemoun, Travel Maker Press)<br>Hush (Ciella Williams, Playlab Theatre)<br>To Kill a Crested Bellbird and Other Stories (David Jagger, Bad Apple Press)</p><p><strong>Non-fiction</strong><br>Holy Woman: A Divine Adventure (Louise Omer, Scribe)<br>Living in Tin: The Bungalow, Alice Springs, 1914–1929 (Linda Wells, Ginninderra Press)<br>You Are Here: An Exhibition (Therese Ritchie, Charles Darwin University Art Gallery)</p><p><strong>Children’s/YA</strong><br>A Little Spark (Barry Jonsberg, A&amp;U Children’s)<br>My Brain Is Magic: A Sensory-seeking Celebration (Prasha Sooful, illus by Geeta Ladi, Soaring Kite Books)<br>Tangki Tjuta—Donkeys (Tjanpi Desert Weavers, A&amp;U Children’s)</p><p>This year's judges Leni Shilton, Marie Munkara, and Jane Godwin have selected the shortlist. The awards were initiated by the NT Writers’ Centre in 2009 and were originally known as Territory Read. The awards, held every two years, recognize outstanding work by published authors living in the NT. The winners will be announced on 17 October 2024 and will each receive $10,000 in addition to promotional and touring support.</p> ]]>
