May his soul rest peacefully."Rana, 71, died on Sunday at the Sanjay Gandhi PostGraduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Lucknow after battling throat cancer.

Rana, born in 1952 in Rae Bareli, received the Gyanpeeth Award in 2014. His poems were quite famous among ordinary people.
