<![CDATA[ Metro Released a Coffee Table Book ]]> Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL), with the cooperation of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) and DC Books, created 'From Vanchi to Metro', a coffee table book that narrates the story of the history of various forms of transit in Kochi.

On Tuesday, industry minister P Rajeeve released the book at a celebration at the High Court Water Metro Terminal, which was attended by mayor M Anilkumar, MLA T J Vinod, KMRL MD Loknath Behera, IOC officials, and others.

Behera stated that the book, which can also be used as a reference book for researchers and students, summarises Kochi's history.

It describes how the city expanded from Fort Kochi and Mattancherry in the 14th century to become a wide expanse connected by harbours, highways, cycle lanes, rail tracks, metro lines, and Water Metro.
DC Books officials have stated that the digital edition of the book would be released soon.
