<![CDATA[ Schools could be reopened with 30 percent students says HRD Ministry. ]]> The HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank had a video conference with teachers and discussed the NCERT guidelines of reopening schools during the COVID-19 pandemic.    The government of India has announced a nationwide lockdown since the last week of March 2020. All the public gathering places are closed under the guidelines of the nationwide lockdown to prevent the spread of coronavirus.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced that the nation will enter in the fourth phase of lockdown with new rules. 
Nishank discussed with the teachers that there should be 30% of attendance in the class to maintain the social distancing norm.
He said, We have asked NCERT to prepare guidelines for re-opening schools and they have done most of the work. The guidelines suggest various things like calling 30 percent of students at a time. If 30 percent of students have to be called in at a time, we will have to see how that needs to work out. The teachers can call the students in shifts.
