            <![CDATA[ <p>According to a report on state television, a group of women banded together to start Saudi Arabia's first publishing business, operated entirely by women.</p><p>According to Saudi television Al Ekhbariya, the house, established four years ago by a group of Saudi women, has taken part in a book fair in the Eastern Province.</p><p>The company produces and prints books written by women.</p><p>Nawara Al Maghrabi, a co-founder who recalled the house's beginnings, said on television: "My partner in the initiative happened to be in the US getting ready for such a project. I was also working on the same thing in the kingdom. We met and spoke about the idea.</p><p>Afterwards, they started the first publishing firm founded by Saudi women, according to Al Maghrabi.</p><p>The residence supports aspiring female authors.</p><p>Female novelist Fatma Al Baqshi stated, "I chose this house because 90% of its crew are women." She listed female designers, authors, and illustrators as some employees.</p><p>As part of significant changes occurring in the country, Saudi Arabia has actively undertaken a campaign to empower women in several spheres of society in recent years.</p><p>The monarchy lifted its long-standing prohibition on women driving in 2018, the first time in history.</p><p>Another action that increased women's empowerment was Saudi Arabia's relaxing of long-standing restrictions on them by allowing women to apply for passports and travel without the consent of a male guard.</p><p>11 Saudi envoys, including two female ambassadors, took the oath of office in front of King Salman bin Abdulaziz in January.</p> ]]>
