            <![CDATA[ <p>Vivendi, which recently acquired L'Ecume des Pages, a literary and humanities bookstore in Paris's Saint Germain-des-Prés neighborhood, is proud to be associated with the inaugural Saint-Germain-des-Prés Book Fair.</p><p>The fair, which is accessible to the public, will be held on June 29 and 30 in the heart of Saint Germain, Paris' most intellectual quarter. It will welcome 70 authors from France and abroad*, including well-known names, emerging talents, fiction and nonfiction writers, and children's authors. All of the famous publishing houses and important groupings that comprise the French publishing landscape will be represented.</p><p>The expo will provide the public with an opportunity to learn about a variety of literary trends and select their summer reading material! Students will have the opportunity to learn about Saint Germain-des-Près' poetry and the works of other writers such as Georges Sand, Balzac, Boris Vian, Simone de Beauvoir, Jean-Paul Sartre, and Albert Camus. Saint-Germain-des-Prés has long been considered Paris' literary heart. Encyclopedists congregated there during the Age of Enlightenment. Then, in the nineteenth century, publishers brought writers like George Sand and Balzac to the area.
