A 10-year-old performing arts school student has had her first book published.

Tisa Smoje, a student from Stagecoach Performing Arts in Chester, initially wrote the book during lockdown as a birthday present for her younger brother, Vuk.

The book is called '46 Imaginative Bedtime Stories' and is an illustrated collection of stories written by Tisa, who has an 'observant eye' and an 'incredibly rich story-telling ability.'

The 57-page book was independently published on the 22 September with Tisa's cousin, Nina Glavaski, designing the cover page.

Stagecoach, an extra-curricular perform arts school is said to have played a 'huge role' in Tisa's achievement.

Ksenija Smoje said: I couldn't be prouder of my daughter's achievement and it really excites me that her wonderful writing can finally be introduced to the world!
<div id=perform-placeholder class=placeholder style=background: #ffffff;border: 0px;font-size: 16px;margin: 0px;padding: 0px;vertical-align: baseline;color: #141414;font-family: 'Open Sans', sans-serif;font-style: normal;font-weight: 400;letter-spacing: normal;text-align: start;text-indent: 0px;text-transform: none data-config={"name":"perform-placeholder","componentType":"placeholder","referenceNode":".article-body > p:nth-of-type(6)","type":"performPlaceholder","relativePos":"after"} data-placeholder-placeholder= data-response-start=11137.999999918975 data-type=placeholder>

My son Vuk loves all the stories in the collection and I hope other readers do too. I can't thank Stagecoach enough for all the great work they do - they have nurtured Tisa's creativity and given her the all-important confidence she needed to share her creativity!

I believe my talented daughter has an exciting future ahead of her, and Stagecoach has played a huge role in this!

Lindsay Partington, Principal of Stagecoach Performing Arts, Chester, said: Everyone at Stagecoach Chester is incredibly proud of Tisa and we hope that her amazing achievement illustrates just what a positive influence the performing arts can have on children.

Here at Stagecoach Chester we help our students to engage with a variety of different performing arts, allowing them to discover and develop their creative interests.

We strongly believe that our classes have so many useful benefits - from helping students to develop self-confidence, to improving their mental wellbeing.

We are delighted to have re-opened again after a period of lockdown, and we look forward to celebrating more achievements from our very talented students.
