            <![CDATA[ <p>Bhaswar Mukherjee is an award-winning writer, mechanical engineer and alumnus of IIM Bangalore. Before turning seriously to writing, he spent nearly 18 years working with multinational banks. In 2005, he co-founded Bridgepoint Solutions Pvt. Ltd., a consultancy and learning-solutions company serving the banking sector.</p><p>Describing himself as an “accidental writer,” Bhaswar has developed a literary career spanning fiction, short stories, true crime and narrative nonfiction. He has contributed to several anthologies, including India’s first composite novel, and his stories have repeatedly been shortlisted in&nbsp;<i>The Times of India’s Write India</i> contests. His work has also appeared in anthologies curated by writers including Sudha Murty and Ravinder Singh.</p><p>His first solo collection,&nbsp;<i>It Happens: Stories of Human Relationships</i>, examines the complexities of love, family and human connection. The book earned him recognition as Best Storyteller in 2021.</p><p>His nonfiction work,&nbsp;<i>The Counterfeiter: Abdul Karim Telgi and the Stamp Scam</i>, reconstructs one of India’s most notorious financial crimes. The book became an Amazon bestseller and established his presence in narrative true crime. He continued exploring crime and financial history in&nbsp;<i>The Founding Fathers of Fraud</i>, which examines major scandals from the early years of independent India.</p><p>Bhaswar’s fiction includes&nbsp;<i>Scarred Earth</i>, an award-winning novel that reflects his interest in morally complex characters and difficult social realities. His latest collection,&nbsp;<i>Brink: Stories from the Edge</i>, brings together 13 stories about people confronting mortality, grief, unfinished relationships and moments that permanently alter the course of their lives.</p><p>Moving confidently between imaginative storytelling and carefully researched nonfiction, Bhaswar writes with an interest in the emotional and ethical dimensions of human behaviour.
