            <![CDATA[ <p>As part of its legacy in the publishing industry, HarperCollins is now saying goodbye to Judith Curr, who held down the title of President and Publisher of HarperOne Group for many years now. In a retirement statement shared with the company CEO, Brian Murray, Curr plans to retire in early June (May 29, to be exact).&nbsp;<br><br>Curr may have had a long journey through the world of publishing before she joined HarperCollins in 2018. However, what made a mark in the history of the company is what happened when she left Simon &amp; Schuster after almost twenty years and launched Atria Books. That marked a beginning to a bold career as a visionary leader.&nbsp;<br><br>Over the past four years, Curr served as the leader of a new division at HarperCollins called HarperOne Group, which included imprints such as Amistad. Over the course of her leadership, not only has the company grown, but it has also changed. Revenues grew by 45%, and HarperOne Group acquired numerous titles written by various international authors.&nbsp;<br><br>HarperVia, a new imprint launched by Curr to introduce more foreign content to English-speaking readers, became the pinnacle of her achievements as a publisher.&nbsp;<br><br>Additionally, under the watch of Curr, several best-selling books were made available to readers. Some of those include “The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse” by Charlie Mackesy and “Finding Me” by Viola Davis.&nbsp;<br><br>Apart from publishing, she has been active socially through the involvement in various initiatives, among them Girls Write Now. In a letter from Murray, he referred to Curr as an “extraordinary force” because of her creativity, imagination, and passion.&nbsp;<br><br>At the moment, no information has been provided regarding a potential successor of Curr, nor anything regarding what comes next for Curr herself.&nbsp;<br><br>However, in the wake of this move, one can only conclude that there will be an end to a unique era in the history of the company.</p> ]]>
