            <![CDATA[ <p>Dr. Mazda K. Turel is a leading brain and spine neurosurgeon based in Mumbai. He completed his MBBS from Grant Medical College and Sir J.J. Group of Hospitals, Mumbai, before earning his MCh in Neurosurgery from Christian Medical College, Vellore. During his training, he received the prestigious Jacob Chandy Gold Medal for excellence in neurosurgery.</p><p>His international medical training includes advanced work in cerebrovascular surgery at Huashan Hospital, Fudan University, Shanghai; skull-base surgery and neuro-oncology at Toronto Western Hospital, Canada; and minimally invasive and complex spine surgery at Rush University in Chicago.</p><p>Dr. Turel practises at Wockhardt Hospitals in South Mumbai. His areas of expertise include brain tumours, cerebrovascular surgery, epilepsy surgery, stroke surgery, skull-base procedures, spinal tumours, and minimally invasive spine surgery. Alongside clinical practice, he remains actively involved in medical research, academic teaching, and neurosurgical training.</p><p>He has written numerous scientific papers, delivered lectures internationally, and contributed columns to leading publications. His writing makes complex medical experiences accessible by focusing not only on diagnosis and treatment but also on the fears, beliefs, relationships, and hopes surrounding every patient.</p><p>His debut book,&nbsp;<i>Bheja Fry: Heartfelt Stories from a Neurosurgeon’s Clinic</i>, published by Juggernaut Books, presents real-life stories drawn from nearly two decades in consulting rooms and operating theatres.
