Dr. Ramanathan Rajamani is a Bengaluru-based technology leader who works in enterprise computing and digital infrastructure. Alongside his professional career, he is an author and storyteller interested in the relationship between technology, human behaviour, cultural memory, and the values that endure beyond material success.
He holds a Global Doctor of Business Administration from the Swiss School of Business and Management, Geneva. His doctoral research explored the use of Large Language Models and human expertise in building smarter business taxonomies and knowledge systems. This combination of technological experience and intellectual curiosity gives his work a distinctive perspective on modern life and human decision-making.
Dr. Rajamani’s storytelling was deeply influenced by his late grandfather, Jayarama Iyer, who introduced him to Tamil devotional stories during his childhood. These memories shaped his appreciation for oral traditions and inspired him to examine how stories, songs, and cultural knowledge pass from one generation to another.
His book, Pathigam Tales: 11 Ways to Build Resilience, brings together eleven episodes from the lives of four celebrated Tamil Shaivite poet-saints—Appar, Sambandar, Sundarar, and Manikkavasagar. Blending narrative nonfiction, Tamil literature, cultural history, and devotional tradition, the book explores the human circumstances behind their enduring hymns.
Rather than presenting these figures only as distant spiritual icons, Dr. Rajamani examines their doubts, difficult choices, vulnerabilities, failures, courage, and faith. The stories offer reflections on resilience, humility, identity, conviction, power, responsibility, and finding meaning during periods of pressure and uncertainty.
The book also makes Tamil devotional poetry accessible through original verses, transliteration, and English interpretation. Through his writing, Dr. Ramanathan Rajamani connects ancient Indian wisdom with contemporary emotional and professional challenges, especially for readers navigating exhaustion, expectations, approval, and the demands of outward success.
His book is available on Amazon.
