Chitwan Mittal’s journey has always been tied to education and the written word. With a degree in English Education from Boston University and a master’s in Values in Education from the University of London, she has spent close to two decades shaping ideas around learning. In 2005, she played a key role as a part of the committee in setting up the Indian Institute of Teacher Education and the Children’s University in Gujarat, both dedicated to making learning more experiential and holistic.
As an author, Chitwan’s interests range from philosophy to pedagogy. Her published works include Education for the Complete Person, Taittiriya Upanishad, and The Arguments for the Existence of God. More recently, she has turned her attention toward children’s picture books, weaving together stories that celebrate diversity, values, and South Asian culture while encouraging bilingual learning.
She lives between India and Singapore with her husband and two sons, whose presence continues to inspire much of her work. For Chitwan, writing isn’t just about storytelling — it is about nurturing curiosity, compassion, and imagination in the minds of young readers.
