The Ayodhya Alliance

India's best-selling author of historical fiction, Ashwin Sanghi, returns with his gripping new novel, the highly anticipated eighth book in the Bharat Collection – The Ayodhya Alliance – to hit the stands this June. In his characteristic way of weaving mythology, history and suspense into a gripping narrative, this book is a must-read for lovers of the genre and anyone seeking their next page-turner. The Ayodhya Alliance is now on preorder.

Speaking of the new book, Ashwin Sanghi states, "What if the solutions to today's greatest questions were hidden in the mysteries of our past? The Ayodhya Alliance is a thriller that explores legacy, legend, lineage and learning—narrated in my trademark style of fact and fiction. It is my most ambitious effort yet, and I hope that it will be savored by my readers."

Poulomi Chatterjee, Executive Publisher – HarperCollins India, has to say, "I have long been an admirer of Ashwin for his unique talent of connecting dots that all of us will never even notice – between civilizations and continents, races and religions, the past, present and future – in the most entertaining manner possible. As much as adventure thrillers go, the books in his Bharat Collection are different for the masterful imagination and craftsmanship he puts in to make them gripping page-turners right from the word go. The Ayodhya Alliance is by far the most accomplished and thrilling book in the Collection so far. It combines beautifully contemporary political intrigue with an ancient mystery, and its surprising twists and turns and regular revelations will keep readers enthralled in the best possible ways. I'm particularly delighted to be publishing it together with newly rejacketed editions of the rest of the Bharat Collection for thriller enthusiasts everywhere."

About The Ayodhya Alliance

An old secret. A lost science. A struggle for the destiny of humankind.

Seven thousand years ago, as he died on the Lanka battlefield, Ravana shared a secret with Lakshmana regarding an enigmatic technology that was the key to Ayodhya's success and the destiny of the world.

For millennia, relentlessly pursued by marauders and emperors alike, explorers throughout history, it has remained hidden, protected by warriors sworn to an ancient vow.

Now, as hostilities mount along India's turbulent frontier and a critical defence initiative hangs in the balance, Indian industrialist Aditya Pillai and South Korean technocrat Somi Kim are drawn into a venture that will turn their world upside down.

The two understand that they have to move with speed, but at no time do they expect that they will find shocking disclosures regarding a miraculous power that once existed between Ayodhya and Kailasa, the Pandyan Empire, Rome, Damascus, Thailand and Korea. As the forces of the past and present meet, the following question hangs in the balance: who will tap the power of the greatest mystery, and at what price?

The Ayodhya Alliance crosses continents and centuries, braiding science, legend and history together in a breathless race against time. With its unputdownable, sweeping narrative of intrigue, betrayal, survival and love, master storyteller Ashwin Sanghi weaves his web wider than ever before, spinning again a thrilling, edge-of-the-seat thriller.
