Continuing a tradition that Puffin has upheld for several years, the publisher marked Bond’s birthday with the release of a new title and a celebratory cake-cutting ceremony. The newly launched collection, All-Time Favourite Friendship Stories, brings together some of Bond’s most memorable tales that celebrate companionship, affection, and human connection.

The book was launched by Sohini Mitra, Publisher, Children’s Division at Penguin India; Kavya Wahi, Marketing Manager, Children’s and Young Adult Division; and Yatindra Chaturvedi, North India Sales Manager, alongside Ruskin Bond, his granddaughter Srishti, and grandson Siddharth.

The event witnessed an enthusiastic response from young readers as Bond interacted warmly with the audience. During the celebrations, the beloved author smiled and remarked while cutting his birthday cake, “Every day should be a birthday,” drawing laughter and applause from the children gathered at the venue. Puffin also organised a short quiz session for the participating students, making the occasion both engaging and memorable.

Reflecting on the significance of friendship in his life, Ruskin Bond shared:
