The National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) UG is a national level entrance test conducted every year in an offline mode to facilitate admissions to MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, BVSc and AH seats across India As per reports, NEET 2021 for admission to medical colleges will have no changes this year. Earlier, education minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said that the authorities are mulling over conducting NEET 2021 twice a year in online mode. The ministry of education wanted the medical entrance exam to be held more than once a year and on computers, but a consensus could not be reached with the ministry of health on time. However, now the medical entrance test will be conducted in pen and paper mode. The official NEET 2021 dates are not yet announced by the NTA, though it is speculated that the national level entrance exam will be held in June or July after the CBSE board exams are concluded. Commenting on the same, Gaurav Tyagi, Founder- Career Xpert said, NEET UG should be conducted twice a year reason being the students who fails in first attempt must not wait the entire year to attempt the examination again.
The changes in exam pattern should not be made now as it would be unfair for aspirants. Also, the further delay in NEET UG 2021 shall adversely affect the upcoming session.
