Ramesh Pokhriyal took to Twitter to make the following announcement: “My dear students, I will announce the eligibility criteria for admission in IITs and the date of JEE Advanced on January 7 at 6 pm. Stay tuned.”
In a recent live interaction, the education minister had also announced that the JEE Main 2021 exam will be conducted four times each year from this academic session so that each student gets a chance to appear for the exam.

Recent developments in JEE 2021 exam conduction

It was announced last year that the candidates who cleared the JEE Main 2020 exam but were unable to appear for the JEE Advanced 2020 exam due to the Covid-19 pandemic will be able to appear for the JEE Advanced 2021 examination directly. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2021 will be conducted four times this year, as per the suggestions of many students and parents. The first attempt of the exam will be from February 23 to 26. The last date to register online is January 16. Due to the pandemic, the paper pattern of JEE Main 2021 has also changed to relieve some of the academic pressure on the students. Candidates will now have a choice to attempts only 75 questions out of the 90 questions present in the paper. Many students have been urging the education minister on social media to reduce the syllabus of the JEE Advanced 2021 due to the pandemic situation.
