            <![CDATA[ <p>H.P. His Excellency Governor Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla wrote the book Vinayak Damodar Savarkar: Nayak Banam Pratinayak written by eminent author Kamalakant Trinayak.</p><p>The event was held at Multipurpose Hall, India International Centre, Lodhi Garden, New Delhi.</p><p>Other eminent personalities who graced the gathering and shared their views on the stage were Professor Shanti Shri Dhulipudi Pandit, Vice Chancellor of JNU, Professor Omprakash Singh, Dr. Malkhan Singh, Keynote Speaker Prabhat Ranjan (Author, Moderator Janaki Pul ), Pro. Sonali Chitalkar.</p><p>Prabhat Ranjan, in his inaugural speech, emphasized the historical relevance of the author calling 1857 the first war of independence. He said how historically Savarkar has been portrayed as a villain and also talked about what a great poet he was.</p><p>Dr. Malkhan Singh said that we have a fragmented understanding about the personality of Savarkar. This book gives an understanding of history and awakens the feeling of building a new nation. This is an extraordinary book which takes the society forward by connecting it with its memories.</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://www.frontlist.in/storage/ckeditor/1717565641_Book_Launch_of_'Vinayak_Damodar_Savarkar__Frontlist.jpg"></figure><p>Om Prakash Singh praised the book for its ability to reconnect with collective memories and promote social change by creating a sense of history and nation-building.</p><p>Sonali Chitalkar of Miranda House highlighted that Tripathi's book raised thought-provoking questions and called it an exceptional piece of historiography.</p><p>Sonali further said that a patriotic, brave and outspoken personality could give such a beautiful portrayal of Veer Savarkar.</p><p>Addressing the gathering, HP Governor and inauguration chairman Shukla said that people who had done nothing for the country used to talk about Savarkar with arrogance in the Parliament.</p><p>Referring to Atal ji, he said that Atal ji had said that if the words sacrifice, tenacity, logic, youth, arrow, trembling and sword are added then he is Savarkar.</p><figure class="image"><img src="https://www.frontlist.in/storage/ckeditor/1717565699_Book_Launch_of_'Vinayak_Damodar_Savarkar__Frontlist_(1).jpg"></figure><p>Through the book it is revealed how Savarkar, while fighting social evils at that time, was not a social evil for the Scheduled Castes. He was working to eradicate caste discrimination and think about the country.</p><p>Savarkar's character is also seen in standing with one's comrades whereas Madanlal Dhingra stood against the entire system.</p><p>Enlightened people of Delhi participated in the meeting.</p> ]]>
