            <![CDATA[ <p>The <strong>Sharjah Book Authority (SBA)</strong> has highlighted Sharjah’s strategic vision for knowledge and publishing during its participation in the <strong>57th Cairo International Book Fair (CIBF 2026)</strong>, which continues until <strong>3 February</strong>.</p><p>At its pavilion, the SBA presented its cultural initiatives and long-term commitment to books as a catalyst for development, dialogue, and intellectual exchange. The fair — one of the Arab world’s oldest and biggest cultural gatherings — attracts millions of visitors, publishers, and thinkers from across the region and internationally.</p><p><strong>Egypt’s Prime Minister, Mostafa Madbouly, visited the Sharjah pavilion</strong>, where he was welcomed by <strong>Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri</strong>, CEO of the SBA. During the meeting, Al Ameri gifted him and Egypt’s Minister of Culture signed copies of works by Sharjah’s Ruler, <strong>His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi</strong>, as well as a book by <strong>Sheikha Bodour bint Sultan Al Qasimi</strong>, Chairperson of the SBA. These presentations symbolised the strong cultural ties between Sharjah and Egypt.</p><p>Commenting on the participation, Al Ameri noted that Sharjah’s involvement reflects a vision that places books at the heart of knowledge cooperation and strengthens partnerships with Egyptian publishers and cultural institutions. He described the Prime Minister’s visit as a testament to Egypt’s deep respect for culture and the role of publishing in intellectual development.</p><p>At the fair, which includes over <strong>1,450 publishers from 83 countries and hundreds of events and book signings</strong>, Sharjah’s pavilion served as a platform to expand collaboration in authorship, translation, and distribution, supporting growth in the Arab publishing sector and fostering cross-border cultural connections.</p> ]]>
