India is the guest of honour at the 38th Moscow International Book Fair 2025, featuring 50+ events on culture, AI, yoga, Ayurveda, and literature.

India Named Guest of Honour at Moscow Book Fair 2025

Between 3 and 7 September 2025, the 38th Moscow International Book Fair (MIBF) will take place in Pavilion 57 of VDNH. TV BRICS is the global media partner of the fair.

India will be the guest of honour at the fair. The nation's stand will include over 50 events that are specifically geared towards technology, artificial intelligence, yoga, Ayurveda, poetry, dance, and translation. The program will host more than 70 Indian and Russian speakers, and more than 50 Indian publishers will have their books displayed in the republic's official languages and in Russian. The stand of the country has an interactive centre, a meditation room and theme areas for culture, art, literature, cinema, cuisine, and tourism.

This area has been organized with the assistance of the National Book Trust (NBT) India, Ministry of Education and the Government of the Republic, the embassy of the country in Moscow, the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, the Jawaharlal Nehru Cultural Centre, the Sahitya Akademi, and Indian publishers.

TV BRICS partner Ves Mir Publishers, its director Oleg Zimarin, is taking part in the programme of the fair.

Famous Russian journalists and writers will take part in the conference, together with Aleksander Auzan, Dean of the Faculty of Economics of Lomonosov Moscow State University. Extra attention will be focused on children's and youth literature. Presentations, lectures, competitions and interactive arenas are awaiting, including the "Toys from Childhood" festival and "Multischool of Tsvetnyashki" master classes.

The business programme comprises over 20 professional events featuring participants such as publishers, book distributors, editors, librarians and representatives of the government. The highlight will be the conference of the Russian Book Market, which will be hosted by the Russian Book Union together with the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media.
